Bourbon was founded in Niigata Prefecture in 1924 and named, with cheerful audacity, after the French royal family. Nothing to do with whisky. Everything to do with biscuits, chocolate, and confectionery made with a quiet precision that consistently outperforms the price point. Their flagship Alfort — a butter biscuit topped with a moulded square of chocolate, embossed with a sailing ship — has been a konbini staple since 1994. The Fettuccine gummy range brings the same attention to detail to chewy candy. Bourbon doesn't shout. It doesn't need to.
