In 1958, Nissin founder Momofuku Ando invented instant noodles in a shed in Osaka, changed the way a significant portion of the world eats, and then, in 1971, invented the Cup Noodle. The rest, as they say, is history — and ongoing. Nissin continues to produce some of Japan's most inventive instant noodle products, from the straightforward Cup Noodle to the UFO Yakisoba, a dry noodle dish that somehow works better in instant form than it has any right to. Every Nissin product carries the DNA of one of food history's genuine innovations.
