Glico was founded in Osaka in 1922, and its running man logo — arms raised, crossing a finish line — has been one of Japan's most recognisable brand images for over a century. The company launched Pretz in 1963 and Pocky in 1966, and in doing so essentially defined the biscuit stick category that the rest of the world has been trying to replicate ever since. Pocky is now sold in over 30 countries. Pretz remains largely Japan-exclusive. Both are excellent, and both are made by a company that has been getting this right for a very long time.
